This is actually a topic I think about on a pretty regular basis. Actually, daily. The list continues to grow constantly. I won’t share it all. You’d be here forever. But I’ll share what I think about the most. So, let’s begin.
- Stop buying into what’s going to make you “look young” and stop caring about what people think. We are told that looking young and retaining your youth is the best thing for us. Women dye their hair, wear makeup, use countless creams, and have procedures done to “fix” that things that are “wrong”. Men color their hair, beards, and are made to feel ashamed if they gain a few pounds when they get older. Growing old is NATURAL. I wish everyone could be content with who they are and stop buying into the bologna that’s being sold to us. The media creates “problems” and then the “solution”. Just… exist. That’s it. It’s really all you have to do.
- Get back into the things that matter. If society collapsed, would you survive? Would you care about what’s happening on social media? Would the multimillion dollar company you work for matter? Do you have survival skills? Do you know how to preserve food and cook from scratch? Can you raise livestock? If they answer is “no”, you may want to rethink what you’re doing with your life. Society has told us that the expensive car, big house, social media following, and credit is success. You spend hours and hours at work to sleep in your house for eight hours, have someone else raise your kids, and be off work one day a week to enjoy life. Are you really enjoying life? I’m not saying go out and buy a farm, but wouldn’t slowing down, not working yourself to death, and getting back to nature feel nice? There’s nothing wrong with expanding your knowledge on these things and you can practice several of these skills on a tiny piece of land or in an apartment.
- Stop poisoning the food. When you think of food, you think of nourishment. But is it really nourishment? Did you know the microplastics found in bottled beverages is hundreds times what scientists thought it was? The microplastics are extremely damaging to your endocrine system and harms your body in many ways. Did you know preservatives put extreme strain on your organs and are known carcinogens? The food you eat should bring you health, not harm. When you eat processed foods, you’re putting loads of unnecessary chemicals into your body. In a perfect world, the ones that are making our food would care about our health. But, sadly, that’s not reality.
I could go on for days on this topic. But I’ll keep it short today.
