When you think about “having it all”, you may imagine a big house, nice car, and enough money to go on fancy vacations whenever you want. But is that what’s really important?
My idea of “having it all” consists of these few things:
Peace of mind
Living without being in constant fear in any aspect in your life is a huge blessing. Especially when it comes to relationships and income. To have peace is a feeling of true freedom. Your soul feels content, even when you’re having to work hard to reach your goals. Once you reach this feeling of contentment, you soon start rejecting things that come your way that interfere with your peace.
Meaningful relationships
Having relationships in your life with people that accept and love you for exactly who you are is an amazing feeling. You know you can rely on them when you need them. Sometimes we have people in our life because we think that we need them and sometimes, they’re the ones that bring us down the most. But we keep those people around because we have no one else.
At least somewhat self-sufficient
I’m not saying that we all have to live on a homestead and milk cows, but it wouldn’t hurt for us to be able to take care of most of our nutritional needs. It is something that we all need to at least know how to do. It doesn’t stop at nutritional needs, though. Being able to be a source of your own income, being able to somewhat take care of your vehicle, being able to complete small home improvement jobs or repairs or at least trying to learn a new skill or trade also fall under this topic.
Is it attabable?
I honestly do believe this is attainable. Once you start to find the things in your life that weigh you down, you’ll be more than willing to let them go, whether it be habits or people. From there, you’ll be able to grow as a person and be able to accomplish the things you set your mind to.
