My #1 Priority for Tomorrow

Daily writing prompt
What’s your #1 priority tomorrow?

My number one priority tomorrow is to do the best in everything I do. I know that sounds childish to some, but the Bible teaches to “work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men.” With all of my health problems, it’s sometimes hard to keep my energy levels up, and some days all I want to do is sleep. I honor those feelings often because I know that if I don’t, my health will suffer more. I’m usually able to complete my tasks after a quick nap.

I’ve also started planning my to-do list around my menstrual cycle. (I know. Gross. But not really.) But a woman’s hormone cycle has a lot to do with her energy level. I’ve started taking that into consideration and remind myself to remember to not “bite off more than I can chew” during the first and last week of my cycle. This week, I can tell that I’m slowing down and my energy levels have plummeted. I’m going to focus on lightweight tasks such as laundry and keeping the house clean. I have several houses to clean next week and will be honoring my body and resting as needed outside of that. Next week, I’ll focus on the heavier tasks, such as moving an old goat fence and possibly building a section in the barn for the new quails.

With all of that being said, my number one priority every day is to honor God in everything that I do.
